WCA Agreement ICC

WCA conducted meetings with over 200 players across 14 player groups during the 2026 Men’s T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.
WCA presented on key current and upcoming matters and received valuable insights regarding what players are seeing in their environments. Global player unity is as strong as it has ever been which holds WCA in good stead as we enter an important phase representing players.
Prize money and commercial rights payments for the Event have been distributed to NGB’s and should be with players within 30 days.

PLAYER ADVISORY BOARD UPDATE

The WCA Player Advisory Board (PAB) has been refreshed to reinforce the collective voice of players at a pivotal moment for the global game.

Rashid Khan, Chamari Athapaththu, Wayne Madsen, Daryl Mitchell and Maddie Green join leaders including Pat Cummins and Heather Knight.

LEAGUES HUB

The WCA Leagues Hub has relaunched, offering a comprehensive assessment of major domestic leagues worldwide.
The Hub evaluates leagues against key criteria identified by players, presenting results through a clear traffic light system alongside an overall rating out of 100 for each league.
It is designed to promote a more transparent, consistent, and professional environment for players by:
Providing clarity to support more informed career decisions
Raising professional and operational standards across leagues, improving player treatment, conditions, and support
Player-submitted ratings and feedback feed directly into the Leagues Hub, shaping each league’s overall score.

WCA GLOBAL DT20 BENEFITS PROGRAM 

The Global DT20 Benefits Program provides all WCA players participating in Domestic Leagues with a consistent and elevated level of service and benefits regardless of where you are playing.
It features a range of reciprocal rights and membership benefits including around security, player development and wellbeing, contract review and late/non-payment support.

NZCPA

After more than 25 years serving professional cricketers Heath Mills will step down as Chief Executive of the New Zealand Cricket Players Association in June. A leading voice in player welfare and equality, Mills will continue supporting the global game through his role as Executive Chairman of the World Cricketers’ Association.

ACA

The Australian Cricketers' Association has recently conducted state visits to meet with players around the country as it works through the possibility of an MOU negotiation in anticipation of the potential privatisation of the Big Bash Leagues. The collective playing group have seven key objectives that form the ACA’s proposal to Cricket Australia.

PCA

The charity in place to support members of the Professional Cricketers’ Association, the Cricketers’ Trust, has announced Alec Stewart as its new President while revealing a five-year Impact Report from 2021-2025. Detailing more than £1million of support delivered over the period, encompassing life-changing and life-saving provision, the charity has helped 239 past and present players across all 18 counties and proactively educated over 250 players every year.et.

SACA

Over the past 12 years, the South African Cricketers’ Association has cemented its dedication to evidence-based practice through a partnership with Dr Sharief Hendricks, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Town's Health through Physical Activity, Lifestyle and Sport Research Centre. Bringing his academic rigour to SACA’s initiatives, Dr Hendricks has authored over 170 peer-reviewed publications and serves as an editor for numerous top-tier academic journals.

WORLD PLAYERS

World Players convened a global delegation of player association leaders at the International Labour Organization and successfully negotiated, for the first time, international guidelines to protect the fundamental rights at work of athletes. These guidelines provide a strong platform for advocacy and collective bargaining with governing bodies across all sports, including cricket.
The WCA was represented in this delegation through its CEO, Tom Moffat.
